Ojai-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sam Blasucci releases La Miel, a restorative EP that operates as the third movement of his forthcoming double LP Physical Dream. Translated to "The Honey," the project acts as balm, soothing what he describes as collective wounds while reconnecting with lineage, language, and land. Drawing inspiration from Los Angeles and Coahuila, Mexico, "La Miel" leans into warmth and spiritual grounding. The arrangements breathe with field recordings of running water, night air, and protest audio. The result feels tactile, organic, intimate. It’s less performance than offering. The accompanying video for CHANCEZ pivots from interior healing to outward conviction. Framed around the urgency of voice and civic courage, the visual underscores Blasucci’s belief in collective agency. Blasucci says:
This is our chance to do something brave and good for the world. Our little window of life is so brief and now is the moment when we can re-spark the memory of why we have voices and why we have power as people. It will be beautiful to see, with whatever eyes we gain when we die, that we stood for the truth when it was our moment to represent life.

Romance and mysticism remain present, but political awareness hums beneath the surface.
All of it leads toward "Physical Dream," Blasucci’s fourth full-length and first double LP, arriving April 17. Years in development, the album reportedly began as a visual concept — imagined as a painting before it became sound. That multidisciplinary instinct is consistent with his trajectory. Known for nearly a decade as one-half of roots-rock duo Mapache, Blasucci has steadily expanded his solo palette, earning praise for versatility and craftsmanship. Live dates stretch across Europe and the UK this spring, followed by U.S. shows in May and June. Stream "La Miel" now and presave "Physical Dream" now.
