Moments from the past can ask to live again. Los Angeles indie art rock band About You lean into that idea with a new set of live sessions recorded at Modern Electric in Dallas. Pulled from their debut album The Lighthouse, The Storm, the performances revisit songs shaped over years of creation and reflection. Textured instrumentation and layered arrangements remain intact, but the energy shifts into something more exposed, where precision gives way to presence. The sense of return runs deeper than location, reflecting the emotional weight behind the project itself. Bandleader Max Poscente describes the sessions as a return to where it all began:
We wanted to capture what it was like to record live in the studio where we made the album, in Modern Electric Sound Recorders. I think there’s a sense of return in these videos, recording live takes of these songs we worked years crafting. The recordings are intricate but at the heart of them are songs we really believe in, and this live performance showcases their potency.

That idea of return extends beyond the studio, carrying the emotional history behind the album into the present moment. Created alongside producer Jeff Saenz, the project was shaped by life-altering events that redefined both process and perspective. The live sessions now act as a continuation rather than a revisit, allowing the songs to evolve through performance. With "The Lighthouse, The Storm" already building momentum through touring and growing listenership, these sessions mark a new phase of visibility for the band. Following a breakout run that includes millions of streams and sold-out shows, About You continue to expand their presence without losing their emotional core. The live recordings offer a more immediate connection to songs like Sunny, What If I Could, and Farewell To Ghosts. As their trajectory continues to rise, the band reinforces their identity through both craft and conviction.
