ADÉLA Gives LA & International Pop A Defiant New Face With "PRIMA"

Written By: Big C

Pop stardom can look like a locked studio door, but ADÉLA arrives wearing the hinge as jewelry. Her debut album PRIMA, introduces a young artist treating ambition as both destination and raw material. The Bratislava-born singer moves between industrial pop force, intimate confession, sex-positive wit, and the disciplined physical language of a dancer. That range gives LA and international pop a new face for a glamorous, sharp-edged peroson unwilling to wait for permission. Songs including I’m The Man, Fantasize, Therapy, and Ain’t In LA let confidence and exposure occupy the same frame. She builds the record as a three-dimensional self-portrait of life at 22. In her own description:
A lot of shit’s happening in my life—which is the nature of being a young woman. At my age, you either hear, ‘She’s really deep,’ or, ‘She’s funny and doesn’t take anything seriously.’ I tried to express both sides. I mixed the hard with the soft, the vulnerable with the swag of it all, and the muscular beats with the feminine energy. I did exactly what I wanted to.

Across "PRIMA," co-executive producers Blake Slatkin and Dylan Brady help frame eleven tracks where muscular beats meet feminine detail, humor brushes against vulnerability, and ambition on it's high heels on. The Hannah Lux Davis-directed Nicole Kidman video turns that balance into cinema, threading references to Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge, Birth, and Babygirl through a knowingly glamorous performance. Her sold-out Red Bottoms Tour carries that vision from North America into Europe and the UK, translating the record’s pumps, pirouettes, and hard-soft tension into a live statement.
