Time doesn’t disappear, it stretches. That feeling sits at the heart of Damn It’s Been A Minute, the blissed-out return from Los Angeles electro-soul collective B00TY. Relying on falsetto harmonies, elastic funk bass, and feel-good synth textures, the new single feels like a deep exhale after silence. It marks the group’s first release since 2022, reintroducing their glossy, groove-forward chemistry and letting the warmth do the talking. Built for movement while grounded in ease, the track leans into B00TY’s signature blend of ’70s funk and modern electro-soul, channeling joy without forcing it. With a grin Edan Frei admits:

What started as a normal day of shooting a music video ended in us accidentally breaking a bathtub in Britney Spears' mansion and flooding the entire house. Oops, we did it again.

That spirit extends into the official video, directed in collaboration with Sadé Clacken Joseph, where spontaneity takes center stage. Led by singers and producers Edan and Adam Epelbaum, B00TY has built a reputation on dual-falsetto vocals, improvisation, and live shows. Their sound pulls from classic funk lineage while staying club-ready, nodding to influences like Sly & The Family Stone and Kaytranada without losing its own pulse. "Damn It’s Been A Minute" signals the opening chapter of a new album era fully in its groove. Watch the video now, and stay tuned as B00TY eases back into motion by following them on Spotify, Apple Music, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and X.
