One chord can carry more than a wall of sound when it lands in the right place. Baby Snakes & The Electric Co. build Diamonds On The Chorus” around a firm, resonant chord that turns musical punctuation into a statement of love. The project is led by Dallas producer Jeff Saenz, who describes the phrase as the pure expression of magic inside a song. Here, the idea reaches beyond technique and the arrangement leaves room for the chord to matter. It is the third preview of Ouroboros, due October 23 through Spaceflight Records. Director Max Poscente brings the song into a noir-styled Dallas, placing Saenz behind the wheel of his own Porsche 911 Targa on a diamond-delivery mission. The confidence of that image carries another meaning after the 2021 electrical accident that led to the loss of Saenz’s left hand and right arm. The video shows him handling ordinary routines as the mechanics of his actual life, not inspirational decoration. "Ouroboros" follows that same approach across 12 songs, one written for each month of a year spent rebuilding. An album listening party is scheduled for October 22 at Shyboy HiFi in Dallas.
