Craig Finn has unveiled the first new episode of 2026 for his acclaimed podcast series, That’s How I Remember It, featuring an in-depth conversation with singer-songwriter Courtney Marie Andrews. The latest installment is available now across Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and all major streaming platforms, marking the launch of another season for the Talkhouse-produced series.
In the new episode, Finn and Andrews explore the emotional architecture behind her recent album Valentine, unpacking how love and grief intersect in her songwriting. The conversation moves fluidly through topics including the influence of light on memory, time spent in Marin County, performing covers, Warren Zevon’s Preludes, and the distinction between writing poetry and crafting songs. True to the show’s premise, the exchange centers less on promotion and more on process. Finn says:
I’m excited to be launching another season of That’s How I Remember It. I started having these conversations in 2022, and I continue to find them enjoyable, educational, and inspirational. I’m thankful for all our guests past and future and proud to be approaching our 100th episode this year.

Co-produced and distributed by Talkhouse, the podcast examines the connection between memory and creativity. Each episode pairs Finn with a single creator—musician, author, filmmaker, or cultural figure—for a focused dialogue about how personal history informs artistic output. The format avoids nostalgia in favor of analysis, treating memory as an active ingredient in storytelling rather than a sentimental backdrop.
Since premiering in 2022, 'That’s How I Remember It' has consistently ranked among leading music podcasts, reaching the Top 5 on Apple Podcasts’ Top Episodes: Music chart and landing in Spotify’s Top 15 music podcasts in the U.S. The guest list across three seasons reflects a wide creative range, including artists such as Matt Berninger, Jason Isbell, Ani DiFranco, Lucinda Williams, Ben Gibbard, Amanda Shires, and Bill Hader, among many others.
The 2026 season begins with Andrews’ appearance and will continue rolling out new conversations throughout the year. As the series approaches its 100th episode milestone, Finn’s podcast continues to position itself as a space where artists speak candidly about craft, memory, and the lived experiences behind their work.
