How do you celebrate the start of a new season in your music career ?
For me, celebrating the start of a new season in my musical career means firstly sharing this moment with those who make it all possible: my family, my fans and my community. I like to mark the occasion by organizing a live streaming set to connect with as many people as possible. It’s also an opportunity to unveil new mixes or collaborations that I’ve worked hard on.
But above all, each new step is for me a way to reinvent myself, to push my artistic limits, while remaining faithful to my style. And as always, there will be surprises, because that's the spirit of DJ Phoenixx: to vibrate, to share, and to ignite!
What inspired you to start making music?
What pushed me to start making music was this deep passion for the emotions it can convey. Since I was young, I have always been fascinated by the way a simple melody or beat can bring people together, transform a mood and create memories.
I started deejaying again in 2019 when I saw a DJ friend on stage: DJ B-Rys. Thanks to his remarkable style it gave me the desire to return to music. And he pushed me into this incredible adventure!
Music, for me, is more than a profession: it is a way of telling a story, of expressing what words cannot always say, and of making hearts vibrate to the same rhythm.
How do you stay grounded in the fast-paced music industry?
In a constantly evolving music industry, staying grounded means first knowing who you are and why you do this job. For me, it's a question of values: remaining faithful to my artistic vision while being open to innovation. I strive to listen to trends, explore new genres and technologies, but never lose my sonic identity.
The other key is to stay close to my community. This is what motivates and guides me. Finally, I think it is essential to never stop learning, whether by testing new software, collaborating with other artists or taking the time to recharge my batteries to nourish my creativity. The industry evolves quickly, but if you remain authentic and passionate, you will always find your place.
How do you balance your personal life with your music career?
Balancing personal life and musical career is a real challenge, but it is essential to maintain balance. Music requires a lot of investment, between studio creations, my videos, radio and my future service projects, but I have learned to set limits to preserve time with my loved ones. Even with my muscular disease and my disabled right leg!
What helps me is organization: I plan my projects in advance to avoid being overwhelmed, and I take breaks to refocus. Those around me understand my passion and support me enormously, which makes all the difference. Especially my future wife Myriam! She is always there for me! It's a rare gem.
That said, music is also part of my personal life: when I mix or create, it's a way for me to express myself, share emotions and escape. So, even if the balance is not always perfect, I make sure to stay present as much for my family and my friends.

What's the most challenging song you've ever written?
So for my part I'm starting out creating Beats. Until now these have mainly been creations out of passion and leisure. But I recently produced a song, completely different with my style by the way. I proposed a challenge to my wife. Who doesn't sing basic. I created a song including the instrumental and lyrics. Happiness On The Horizon. It was a great experience and a wonderful time with her. So I would say this song.
How do you stay inspired during the long winter months?
The long winter months are the perfect opportunity to refocus and draw on different sources of inspiration. For me, that means spending time in the studio, where I let my creativity run wild, experimenting with new sounds and working on tracks that warm the soul, even when it's cold outside.
I also draw inspiration from what surrounds me: instant T moments, my artist friends especially those from Texas, the lights of the day or even the unique atmosphere of winter evenings. And then, it’s a period where I take the time to listen to a lot of music, to discover artists, styles, atmospheres that can nourish my own creations.
Finally, there's nothing like reconnecting with people: sharing simple moments with my loved ones or interacting with my community, that always boosts me. Winter, for me, is a time of preparation, without a creative break before blasting out the vibes as soon as the sunny days return.
What's your dream collaboration with another artist ?
My dream of collaboration? Without hesitation it would be with my friend DJ B-Rys and the legendary Joey Starr. With B-Rys, we share a real bond and a common vision of what music can bring. Adding Joey Starr to the equation brings that raw energy and iconic voice that transcends genres. And he is one of the images of my youth!
What's the story behind your latest song ?
The story behind “Happiness On The Horizon” is very special to me, because it is a creation made with my darling, Mimi. It’s a project born from a wonderful bond, both musical and personal. I wanted to convey a beautiful little story with tenderness to reflect his sensitivity, a message that speaks of hope, dreams and this desire to always move forward, no matter the obstacles.
The idea was to capture that feeling of looking into the distance and seeing something beautiful waiting for us, that little moment when we say to ourselves that anything is possible. Mimi was a big inspiration on this track, and it was magical to collaborate together.

What's one thing you wish to accomplish this year?
This year, I have several goals in mind that are really close to my heart. First, I would like to explore new musical collaborations. Working with other artists is always a source of inspiration and a way to push my limits.
Then, opening my website is a big project that I want to bring to fruition. It will be a platform to share my music, my services as a creator and DJ, my news and stay connected with my community.
I am also working on a future business, an ambitious project that fascinates me and which, I hope, will find its audience. But beyond all that, what I want above all is health, for me and my loved ones, and to stay close to my family, because they are the ones who give me the strength to accomplish everything.
How do you see your music evolving in the future and where can people connect with you at?
I see my music evolving continuously, experimenting with new sounds, new artists and integrating various influences, while remaining faithful to what defines me.
As for where people can find me, I am of course on music platforms like DJPod, Apple Podcast, Amazon Music and Audiomack to listen to my latest mixes. And also on different international radio stations like IGRMIAMI, Werocx R920, Klan-D, Apollo Radio, Scientific Sound Asia and Vybz FM. But to really connect with me, the best place is on my social networks, where I share moments from my musical life as a DJ. Bio link: https://linktr.ee/djphoenixx
