Writer's picture: Charles LuberisseCharles Luberisse

What are you leaving behind in 2022?

Regret, I lost things that mean the absolute world to me in 2022 & I have to learn to live with it. I need to focus on enjoying & making the most of the moment I'm in. Life is made to be enjoyed. 2023 I need to win more than ever and get both my personal life & professional life together. Hopefully I can reclaim what I had & better.

Who is your biggest celebrity crush (career or personality)?

I always thought Lauren London was beautiful. I got a few, Ashanti is fire to me, Megan Good, Gabrielle Union, Janelle Monae, & Rihanna! I got a nice list lol.

Did you grow up playing game nights, movie nights, Sunday dinner or music in or around your household?

All of the above actually & my music career & my name Geno Pacino came from a game night. My first project using the moniker was actually called It Started At Game Night. It was on all the streaming platforms for years.

What made you choose the music industry versus a nine to five?

Music has been in my soul since I was a kid. It's nothing else I ever wanted to do. Other than have a family & pass on my legacy.

Describe your fans in one word and explain.

Authentic

What's your most quotable lyric?

Damn that's a good one there is so many. " All I wanted to be was understood if I could get a million plus to tell me I'm good then maybe I could hide from all my insecurities & maybe my designs could blind my immaturity " that's a bar in Tears Of Joy a song I made dedicated to Mental Health Awareness. Another line in it I say "How can you have success when all you know is failure hurt & despair the only thing familiar. To me 2 G I was in the Psych Ward God said watch your enemies that's what I gave you sight for " it's one of my most vulnerable songs.

What has been your worst experience in the music industry?

Everyday that I'm not sitting on million in my account. The music industry is so hard that everyday you not on top of it is a bad experience. Professionally I had a show set down in SXSW that got canceled by COVID-19 & it was gone be a paid opportunity. I opened up for a bigger artist once some years ago & he had to be somewhere else & requested to perform before me which was crazy. That's definitely up there on my list. The headliner going first.

Do you think you need more copyrights to your music or should it be free for sampling?

As long as I'm compensated I have no problem with someone sampling me.

What is missing from the arts in your hometown/city?

What's missing in Chicago is me, I need to be out there more mainstream.

What project do you have out right now that potential fans should listen to and where can people connect with you?

I just dropped a new single UFHO & my most recent album Pacino Season 3 is still streaming everywhere. As well as my previous projects. My Instagram is @pain707 my YouTube channel link is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBr0cDz9Tnz1FxsAboZ4oXA fan page is https://www.facebook.com/IAMGenoGreen?mibextid=ZbWKwL & my music is available on all the streaming platforms.
