What’s the origin behind your name? Where are you from?
Detroit, Motown. My name came from my city but my mindset came from following my dreams and traveling the world.
What moment in hip hop has stood out to you the most?
NOW. Hip-Hop is now the most influential genre in music!
If you weren’t doing hip hop what would you be doing ?
Honestly, I wouldn’t be here. Doing hip hop was a part of my purpose. It gave me a voice to spread messages across the world through music. Even when I’m gone!
If you could work with anyone in the industry who would it be?
The greats. Michael Jackson (RIP), Biggie (RIP), Lil Wayne, Jay-Z.
What is your creative process? Do you write or freestyle your rhymes?
Depends on what mood or vibe I’m in at that moment. I’ll for sure start by pouring a glass of wine to zone out. At that point, I fall into the instrumental and the rest is history. Most of the time I write and take my time to perfect my music.
What do you have going on right now? (Merch, Music, Events, Collabs, etc)
Tons of new music about to come out. The deluxe version of my album, Major Payne is about to drop and following that I will be dropping a new EP entitled, Prime Time 2021. I will also be launching my label, Driven Musik Records introducing some new artists. Due to COVID-19 we can only do so much so we’re focusing on giving the fans as much music as we possibly can.
What’s one thing you wish someone told you about the music industry which would have drastically changed your career?
I don't think anything would have drastically changed my music career being that timing is everything. But I didn’t know a lot of these artists weren’t writing their own raps! lol
Superhero or Villain?
Superhero. I want to be able to give back to my city, the people who’ve always supported me from day one.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself as a young entrepreneur/mogul.
