Do you have a new year's resolution? If so, what is it?
My New Year’s resolution is to work on me, not yet music. I am currently on my weight loss journey, and working on bettering myself mentally and physically. I am also planning to make sure my music is everywhere. This is the year I want everybody to see Polo Baybee down their TL no matter what.
What is your greatest accomplishment thus far?
The greatest accomplishment I have thus far would be having not 1 but 2 songs featured in PValley Season 2. A milestone like that I only thought only happens if you were a signed mainstream artist. Where I’m from, opportunities like that don’t happen for us often. I remember people from my city even though I was lying when I announced that I would have my music on there. Even to the point they were saying I made the email myself. But, one thing bout me, I love proving people wrong.
What’s the first song you play which reminds you of heartbreak?
Hmmm, there are so many to choose from, but I would say right now it would be Big Kuza - Not A Love Song. That song is very relatable to what i went through with somebody. He says in the song “and I can’t stand you even though I can’t stand to be without your touch”, and we all felt like that about somebody we had to let go.
What’s the first song you play which reminds you of love?
I would say right now it's What You Wanna Do by KcDaGreat and OhBoyPrince. That song has me in a chokehold forreal. It reminds me of a summer love type of vibe from 2014.
Describe the perfect first date?
A nice picnic at the reservoir. You and your significant other sitting in front of the water enjoying each other's company. Both of y'all enjoying the view and long talks. It also help with learning one another.
Are you going to vote this presidential election year?
Yes, even though I feel like it don’t matter, I will still vote.
Have you ever been hacked by a phishing email, had your identity stolen, or been a victim of digital fraud?
The most I even been hacked was someone hacking my Instagram. But, it wasn’t for long, the dude wasn’t bright. He claim he could boost my following to 50k, so I played along and gave him my info. Of course, I got logged out, but thing was when I got the email he made the email my ig name @gmail.com, and it wasn’t a real email. So, I made it a real email and got my page back.
Are you the type to get to work early or stay late?
I prefer to get to work early so I can get it over with.
What does success mean to you?
Success means never giving up. No matter how many times we failed, each time we continue to keep pushing I feel like that alone is being successful. So many people are quick to give up, but keeping going is what makes you successful.
Where do you want to perform next and where can people connect with you at?
I would love to one, perform in Texas soon. I have a lot of supporters in Houston and Dallas. So, I hope somebody book me out there soon.
