What if Eve wasn’t the villain, but the hero? What if paradise was never meant to last? Boyfriend is no stranger to pushing boundaries, and her latest concept album, In The Garden, is no exception. Taking the biblical tale of Adam and Eve and flipping it into a bold, feminist, and queer reclamation, the album reimagines the Garden of Eden as a space of defiance rather than shame. The project’s latest single, FIGHT, featuring Jake Shears, introduces Adam as a cocky yet clueless counterpart to Boyfriend’s Eve. Shears, known for his flamboyant and charismatic stage presence, injects the song with a theatrical flair that brings the tension between Eve’s awakening and Adam’s resistance to life. Boyfriend explains:
Adam demonstrates his complacency, Eve demonstrates her defiance.

With a beat as gripping as its concept, "FIGHT" sets the stage for the album’s unapologetic narrative. The album’s unique production, helmed by Alex Krispin, Asa Taccone, and Little Shalimar and an all-star cast featuring Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears, Big Freedia, Billy Porter, and Peaches, the album blends theatrical storytelling with an eclectic mix of genre-expanding sounds. Arriving on May 9 via Big Freedia’s Queen Diva Music, "In The Garden" is more than an album—it’s a revolution. Connect with Boyfriend on FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, SPOTIFY, YOUTUBE.
