Baby Please is a Sad Sierreño heartbreak anthem that showcases his signature moody tone. Throughout the song, Ivan is pleading with his love to remember their journey and to think about how beautiful the relationship could be if they handled it with care going forward. Ivan had to say:
This song was inspired by the desperate desire we feel during our lowest moments in a break up. We hate the attachment but love the thought of a rekindled love. I wanted this song to feel like I’m vulnerable but at the same time willing to fight for her.
Written at his estate in Riverside, California the song was co-produced with long time collaborator Frank Rio. The accompanying visual was directed by Edgar Daniel.
