Today, Capitol Records unveils a breathtaking reimagining of Whitney Houston’s timeless hit I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me), transformed into a symphonic ballad alongside multi-platinum artist Calum Scott. Recorded with the endorsement of Houston’s estate, the duet marks the first time Whitney’s original vocal stems have been paired with another artist. The result is a soaring collaboration that magnifies the song’s longing while honoring Houston’s legendary artistry. Arriving as part of the global 40th anniversary celebration of her career. Scott shares:

The track was produced by Jon “MAGS” Maguire, Andrew Yeates, and Charlie T in the UK with a lush string section, while Whitney’s vocal was preserved in its original key by her longtime producer Narada Michael Walden. The single also appears on Scott’s highly anticipated third studio album, Avenoir out October 10.
