GRAMMY®-nominated DJ and producer Chris Lake has unveiled his official remix of The Chemical Brothers’ iconic 2005 single Galvanize in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The remix infuses the track’s legendary hook with Lake’s unmistakable house-driven energy, bridging two decades of electronic innovation. Lake’s interpretation takes the Platinum-certified anthem and elevates it into a peak-time weapon, complete with surging percussion and rolling basslines that slot seamlessly into today’s global dance floors. Lake explains:
Remixing a track as iconic as ‘Galvanize’ is no small task. It’s a song that changed the game when it dropped, so my goal was to honor that legacy while giving it a version that would fit into my own DJ sets. I’m super happy with the balance I struck between the original and my style.
Meanwhile The Chemical Brothers shared:
Galvanize marked a real turning point for us when it first was released… We absolutely love the way Chris put his own stamp on it. He managed to keep the original spirit of the track, yet bring it into the modern age.

The remix follows Lake’s breakthrough debut album Chemistry, which dropped in July and hit #13 on Billboard’s Electronic Album Chart, while also breaking into Spotify’s Top 10 Global and USA Album Debut Charts. His Chemistry Album Tour continues this fall with major stops at KOKO London, Echostage in DC, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, and beyond, with $1 per ticket supporting ocean conservation via Oceanic Global.
