When music lives in the heart, three decades only make it stronger. GRAMMY®-nominated singer-songwriter Sophie B. Hawkins celebrates the 30th anniversary of her landmark album WHALER with a reimagined project, WHALER – RE-EMERGING. Set for release in October, fans will soon experience Hawkins’ most enduring classics revitalized in their rawest and most authentic form. First released in 1994, "WHALER" solidified Hawkins as a fearless force in pop music. To mark this milestone, Hawkins is taking the stage at some of North America’s most cherished venues and festivals with fan favorites, like the soaring Right Beside You and the tender As I Lay Me Down. Hawkins shares:

The songs on this album are some of the sweetest and ripest I’ve yet written. They fill me with hope and joy. WHALER was, and is again, a time of ‘True Romance’ in my life… My voice is as raw as raw can be, no tuning or corrections, and I think the raw and unfiltered me is the best me. Please enjoy this wonderful and alive art.

This anniversary project underscores her ongoing ability to connect across decades with raw emotion and unparalleled artistry. This past summer, she appeared at the Saskatoon Jazz Festival, joining a lineup of world-class artists who have defined generations of music. On July 26, she delivered an intimate set at Seattle’s Triple Door, offering fans an up-close journey through both her timeless catalog and the rebirth. Now, with "WHALER – RE-EMERGING" she invites audiences to rediscover the songs which shaped a generation. Pre-save the album now and catch Sophie B. Hawkins live.
