DELTONA Hand Billy Ray Cyrus The Keys To "Party's In The Back"
Written By: Big C
Business up front is optional when Billy Ray Cyrus is waiting in the back. DELTONA recruit the country icon for a remix of Party’s In The Back, released through The Core Records. The trio of Ned Abernathy, Caleb Miller and Chris Deaton first crossed paths with Cyrus after a surprise visit during Storme Warren’s podcast, where he jokingly declared himself a step-member of the group. That joke now has a proper recording, a shout-along chorus and a video shot at The Underdog in Nashville. It is rowdy, self-aware and built to leave the door open for everybody. DELTONA had to say:
The only thing this song was missing was the man with the original 'Party In The Back!' Billy Ray Cyrus has been a hero of ours for a long time and the fact that he found our music and wanted to jump on our song is a dream come true. This song embodies the redneck living that we all love. Go check out 'Party’s In The Back' featuring our new brother Billy Ray Cyrus!”
Cyrus adds recognition, featuring the new voice, then folding it back into the larger sound. The original arrived in May, co-written with Paul Sikes and produced by Jason Massey, with gritty guitars and driving drums already doing the heavy lifting. The partnership followed a performance at Raised Rowdy On The Row at Odie’s in Nashville and continues at the NASCAR Cup Series Freeway Insurance 500 at Phoenix Raceway on October 18. DELTONA have also shared stages connected to Dustin Lynch, Jordan Davis and George Birge. Put the remix on loud, watch the video and decide whether the party belongs in the back or everywhere at once. Follow DELTONA on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
