Even in moments of calm, anxiety finds a way to whisper. Rising alternative rock band Fai Laci returns with Grains Of Sand. Their second Dan Auerbach-produced release via Easy Eye Sound, leans into the quiet unease that lingers beneath forward motion. With swelling dynamics, the track captures the tension between momentum and fragility, especially when life appears steady, yet everything still feels one step from collapse. Recorded at Auerbach’s Nashville studio, “Grains Of Sand” unfolds in two emotional movements. The opening wrestles with lingering doubt and internal pressure, while the latter half breaks open into something heavier and more cathartic, shaped organically during live tracking with the band. Frontman Luke Faillaci describes:

We wanted to capture the emotion and craziness of our lives over the past couple of months in this video, and the reflective nature of 'Grains of Sand' was the perfect song to do it to. We’ve been going nonstop recording our debut album in Nashville, to hitting the road on our first tour, and so on. It’s been a ton of hard work, but we are surrounded by the best people and wouldn’t want to be doing anything else in the world.

The accompanying video, filmed by the band while on tour, documents life in motion on long drives, late nights, blurred city lights, and fleeting stillness between shows. It feels less like a performance piece and more like a memory captured before it disappears. Following their Easy Eye Sound debut Angels & the Others, Fai Laci continue to emerge as one of Boston’s most compelling new alternative voices. With millions of streams behind them and a debut full-length album currently in progress, “Grains Of Sand” marks a turning point.
