Some voices don’t fade, they wait for the right moment to be heard. With her long-lost self-titled album finally emerging from the shadows, legendary songwriter Pebe Sebert unveils a rare portrait of her artistry. Originally recorded in the early 1980s and newly remastered for 2025, the project arrives as a stunning revelation. Sebert’s voice, raw and luminous, carrying generations of melody and memory forward. The album, produced in its original form by multi-Platinum mastermind Guy Roche and lovingly restored by Daniël Rios Mol and Jeffrey Wahl, captures Sebert in her purest expression. From the cinematic pulse of City’s Burning to the beloved fan favorites Vampire and Hard Times Ahead, the album shines with emotional honesty. Kesha shared while announcing the project:

I grew up in the studio, watching my mom turn her life into songs. These moments became stories. These stories are her life,. She wrote an album before I was born. This was the only album she made as an independent artist before focusing her life on raising her children and writing songs for other people. I grew up watching this alchemy, and I only became who I am because of the road she paved before me. I’m so proud to finally release my mom’s debut album on Kesha Records, and I’m so proud of her release today!

That sentiment sits at the heart of this long-awaited release. It's a rediscovery of the woman whose pen shaped classics for Dolly Parton, June Carter, and Miley Cyrus, and later defined pop hits for her daughter. Each song feels like a page pulled from a diary meant to be opened decades later, revealing a voice both timeless and beautifully haunted. The arrival of her debut album on Kesha Records marks a full-circle moment. Pre-save "Pebe Sebert," revisit the definitive versions of her cult-loved tracks.
