The open road doesn’t just carry you forward, it takes pieces of you with it. On their new single Gone, Flatland Cavalry captures that restless pull between purpose and sacrifice. Turning a decade of highways, hotel rooms, and heartache into one of the most vulnerable songs of their career, “Gone” marks the beginning of a powerful new chapter. Their single honors the reality of a life lived in motion while looking toward a horizon they can’t stop chasing. Produced by Dwight Baker, the wistful fiddle lines and warm acoustic tones, the band transforms solitude into poetry. Lead vocalist Cleto Cordero reflected on the moment, sharing:

We recorded a batch of songs earlier this year, and ‘Gone’ was the first because it was closest to my heart…when I listen to the recording of that song, I feel the soul of a man that’s been away for the last 10 years.

The single arrives just days before Flatland Cavalry headline the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Recorded as the group signed to the newly revitalized Lost Highway Records, the band’s signature “easy on the ears, heavy on the heart” sound delivers. The track’s emotional core echoes that chasing dreams comes with a cost, but it’s a price they’ve been willingly to pay to bring these stories to life.
