If juice could roar, it would sound like this. Alt-rock band The Technicolors bottle their purest essence with the release of their fourth studio album, Heavy Pulp. Bold, unpolished, and unapologetically alive, the record refuses to cut corners—showcasing the band’s decade-plus evolution into a sound that’s equally expansive and intimate. Featuring collaborations with GRAMMY-nominated producer Robert Adam Stevenson, drummer Nathan Price of BRONCHO, and Madison Cunningham on the brooding standout First Class To Nowhere, the album delivers rock in its most pulpy, visceral form. Frontman Brennan Smiley says:

Our best work yet? Maybe the first time we stumbled into what felt like our own little world… With this record, we weren’t afraid to let our love of all kinds of music bleed through. Robert really shocked us out of old habits. Instead of editing everything to perfection, we trusted the raw moments and left the pulp in.

To celebrate the album’s arrival, The Technicolors are playing a run of intimate release shows—beginning with tonight’s sold-out Los Angeles date, followed by Phoenix and Brooklyn. With Heavy Pulp, the band reclaims its place at the forefront of a rock resurgence, proving that imperfections aren’t flaws—they’re the flavor.
