ALL ABOARD! It’s a line that sounds playful at first, until it settles into something deeper. With her Interscope Records debut single Struggle Bus, Iris Copperman opens a vivid coming-of-age window, built on heartfelt melodies and youthful clarity. The track captures Iris at a pivotal moment, one where growing pains, self-doubt, and quiet resilience ride side by side. Written as an act of self-recognition, "Struggle Bus" uses its central metaphor to give every version of Iris permission to exist. She explains

I wrote ‘Struggle Bus’ because I wanted to show love to every version of myself. The song uses the idea of a bus to show that every part of me is allowed along for the ride, even the messy or sad parts. I’ve felt a lot of different emotions, and this song helped me put them into words. It’s about having different sides to yourself and knowing that it’s okay to feel sad, cry, and then wake up and try again the next day. I hope people can feel the honesty in the song and feel accepted for exactly who they are.

The song’s message extends seamlessly into its official video, written by Iris and directed by Jason Lester. The visual mirrors the song’s emotional architecture of translating emotional overload into something steady, human, and disarmingly honest. "Struggle Bus" marks the beginning of a new chapter for the 14-year-old multi-instrumentalist and song-writter.
