Sometimes confidence isn’t inherited, it’s rehearsed in the mirror. Colorado’s Jesus Christ Taxi Driver return with Lana Del Rey, a snarling, unfiltered anthem that treats self-belief like a ritual. The track doesn’t politely reference Lana Del Rey, it invokes her by repeating "I’m Lana Del Rey" like a mantra. The band leans into the mythology of artistic certainty, using her persona as a symbolic North Star for resilience under scrutiny. Sonically, the single feels delightfully unhinged with lurching guitars of garage-rock volatility. Rhythms swing between swagger and abrasion. The overall energy recalls the looseness of a Stooges record if it had been born in 2000s Colorado instead of ’60s Detroit. Vocalist Ian Ehrhart frames the song as:
'Lana Del Rey' is representative of self-belief and confidence amidst persecution and self-doubt. She is a pop icon that transcends pop icons through artistic integrity and an unrelenting sense of identity. She has it all… mystique, intellect, depth… She is a figment of our imagination.

In that sense, the track becomes less about celebrity and more about embodiment. Who do you become when you stop apologizing for existing? The single paves the way for Taxi The Rich, the band’s second album, arriving digitally April 24 via Midtopia. Vinyl copies land March 19, giving fans early access while ensuring artists retain full profit. The Taxi The Rich Again Tour follows, presented in partnership with One Night Live, with stops including a Denver hometown celebration and a return to Treefort Music Fest in Boise. Stream "Lana Del Rey" until it sticks and follow Jesus Christ Taxi Driver on Instagram, Bandcamp, YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.
