We spend our lives chasing something just out of reach, sometimes love, sometimes ourselves. Emerging neo-soul artist Katie Tupper announces her highly anticipated debut album Greyhound. Introducing the project with her new single Right Hand Man, blends the warmth of alternative R&B, touches of folk, and funk. Her new single, “Right Hand Man,” explores the fragile line between love and dependency, balancing sultry grooves with lyrical honesty. The accompanying visualizer expands this emotion into a hazy, dreamlike palette. Reflecting on the concept behind the record, Tupper explains:

'Greyhounds' that race on tracks chase something unreachable. I realized I’m often both — the dog and the decoy, always moving, never arriving. This song is about the weight someone puts on you when you become their only source of happiness. It’s the first time I felt someone acting co-dependent towards me, and how difficult that was for me as an independent person.

Tupper continues her ascent as one of Canada’s most compelling voices in modern soul. Greyhound finds her at the intersection of independence and connection, chasing meaning in motion, much like the album’s symbolic namesake. Produced by Justice Der and Felix Fox, "Greyhound" captures Tupper’s evolution from bedroom soul storyteller to internationally acclaimed songwriter. With over 22 million global streams, a JUNO Award nomination, and sold-out shows in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, she continues to redefine what soulful introspection sounds like in the modern era.
