'Emotional Whiplash' is based on someone love-bombing you and then pulling back as soon as you match their energy. This one told me on the second date that he deleted all the apps and told his parents about me. Then said I was moving too fast when I asked if we should schedule another date. Hilariously, I could not tell you what his name was.
The single arrives alongside a striking self-directed music video that marks KIMIKO’s directorial debut. Shot between an eerie room of mannequins, a stark desert landscape, and a mechanical bull ride, the visuals mirror the extremes of a relationship spinning out of control. Known to many as actor Kimiko Glenn, whose work spans Orange Is The New Black, BoJack Horseman, and DuckTales, the multi-hyphenate now steps fully into her musical era.
