Raw rhythm, no apology... when dancehall speaks, the world listens. Global dancehall icon Konshens fires back with a bold new single, BDAUP (Back Dat Azz Up). Breathing Caribbean heat into one of hip-hop’s most iconic beats, the track rides the timeless instrumental from Juvenile’s Back That Azz Up, personally sent to Konshens’ team by hip-hop mogul Birdman. Recorded during a session at Miami’s Hit Factory Studios, the song was born from a debate. The result? A fiery, unfiltered collision of genres which proves raw dancehall energy has no limits. Koshens shared:
Papa Keith and I were in the middle of an argument that raw dancehall can fit on any beat and work. We loaded up and I just let loose whatever came to my head... The whole station went crazy.

That unfiltered session turned into “BDAUP,” and the demand was so high, they secured Birdman’s blessing to officially drop the track. With over 1 billion streams worldwide and a catalog of dancefloor staples like Gal A Bubble, Bruk Off Yuh Back, and Do Sumn, Konshens continues to lead the charge for modern dancehall. “BDAUP” is a ode to nostalgia. It’s a power move that bridges eras and sounds, asserting dancehall’s rightful place on any beat, any time.
