Los Angeles alt/indie pop artist myah transforms heartbreak into cinematic mayhem with the release of her Happy Death Day–inspired music video for dissolve. Out now from her debut album i don’t know what i’m feeling, blending butterflies with breakdowns in a bittersweet coming-of-age soundtrack. The emo-tinged track becomes a wild, self-directed short film where breakup devastation loops into dark comedy. Known for her sharp blend of alternative rock, pop-punk hooks, and Midwest emo guitar textures, myah once again proves her ability to turn personal chaos into bold, visual storytelling. Myah continues her reputation for bringing cinema-level visuals to indie-pop explains:
The opening lyric of dissolve is, ‘uh oh, I’ve done it again,’ which is me calling myself out for making the same mistakes and then crashing out over them. If my songs tell the story of my life, then the music videos are the heightened versions of those stories. I think that's why I like directing and editing these so much. I love horror comedies, and I couldn’t think of anything more manic than watching someone you love not only break up with you on repeat, but also die. How do you break the cycle?

The video follows her earlier homage to Scream in the lobby, a fan-favorite that earned a Telly Award and more than 160K views. Released last month, "i don’t know what i’m feeling" spans 17 confessional tracks that chart the turbulence of love, loss, and self-discovery. Having worked behind the camera with The Marias, Kehlani, Tinashe, Steve Aoki, Oliver Tree, and more, myah now commands the spotlight as both musician and filmmaker.
