When the tape starts rolling and the nerves kick in, that’s when the truth shows up. New York City’s all-thrill rock group The Thing are closing in on the full release of their self-titled debut album with today’s drop of Something To Say and Insane. The album has been unveiled over the past few months in analog-inspired A/B-side pairs. Out August 6 via their own Onion Records, these final tracks are two gritty, fuzzed-out tracks that distill the band’s live-to-tape intensity into sharp-edged snapshots of emotion.
