Loss rarely gives you time to understand it. On Make You Feel, New Orleans band Pope sit inside that moment, shaping confusion and connection into something tangible. Built on ringing guitars and hard-hitting drums, the song carries a quiet intensity that never fully settles. "Make You Feel" holds two emotional currents at once. with that duality playing out in the structure itself. Written in the immediate aftermath of losing a close friend, the song captures both the shock of absence and the imprint someone leaves behind. Bandleader Matt Seferian describes it as:
'Make You Feel' is really two feelings in one song. Written when I was in the shock of the sudden loss of a long-time friend. It was so fast and so confusing that I was having a hard time processing it through my normal channels or past experiences with grief. It’s also about community to me; how people can be so entrenched in your present and past lives.

The track serves as the second single from their upcoming album BFM, arriving April 30 via Rite Field Records. Built on ringing guitars and hard-hitting drums, the song carries a quiet intensity that never fully settles. Vocal harmonies drift through the mix, softening the edges without removing the weight. Following the earlier release Newboi, the project traces cycles of stagnation with a renewed sense of purpose. With a hometown performance set for March 18 at Saturn Bar in New Orleans, Sit with "Make You Feel" and let it unfold. Pre save "BFM" and follow Pope on BANDCAMP, INSTAGRAM, and FACEBOOK.
