Some melodies don’t just echo, they sprint, collide, and spark like live wires in the dark. Radio Free Alice channels that bolt of kinetic energy into Rule 31. The electrifying new single born from a soundcheck-turned-creative-breakthrough during their European tour. Produced by Peter Katis in Connecticut, the track surges with the razor-edged urgency that has defined the Naarm/Melbourne post-punk band’s rapid global ascent. Reverb-soaked guitars, anchoring basslines, and their signature new-wave tension shape a sound that feels both nostalgic and futuristic. Expanding on the single’s spontaneous origins, frontman Noah Learmonth shares:
The bassline came first and we just built it up from there. We recorded it at Peter’s beautiful house-studio in Connecticut when we had a couple days off from shows.

That organic spark, paired with relentless touring, has become a defining element of their creative process. It's a reminder of why their stages keep swelling in size and intensity. The band’s rise has been punctuated by praise from NME, Stereogum, Rolling Stone Australia, and Apple Music 1, spotlighting their sharp riffs and electrifying live presence. Fresh off a sold-out UK run that included a packed headline at London’s Scala, Radio Free Alice continues to accelerate. The band will join Goose on their sold-out Australian tour in February 2026 before returning to Europe for a string of festivals, including newly announced appearances at Tramlines Festival and Truck Festival. Listen to “Rule 31” now and catch Radio Free Alice on Bandcamp, Instagram, Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.
