Rainbow Body Turn A "Strange Memory" Into Their First Song

Rainbow Body begin with a lineup that already carries history: Taylor Goldsmith and Griffin Goldsmith of Dawes, Rick Mitarotonda of Goose, Eric Krasno, Ross James, and Adam MacDougall. Their first single, Strange Memory, opens a project that began in Topanga Canyon and continued at Flóki Studios near the Arctic Circle in Northern Iceland. Produced by Eric Krasno, Ross James, and Rainbow Body, the eight-track album moves through psychedelic rock, Americana, soul, folk, and improvisation. Nicki Bluhm and Oteil Burbridge also appear, and proceeds will benefit the North Atlantic Salmon Fund. Taylor found the song inside a road which keeps moving even after its reason has blurred. He explains:
'Strange Memory' takes place on a highway that doesn’t end. When you can’t remember what you’re running from and you can’t remember what you set out to find.
The self-titled album Rainbow Body arrives digitally October 23, with distribution by No Coincidence Records and Secretly Distribution, followed by limited vinyl January 8, 2027.
