Sam Fender unveils the moving visuals for Little Bit Closer. Shot amidst the misty peaks of England's Lake District, the video reunites Fender with Adolescence director Philip Barantini and rising star Owen Cooper. With a nostalgic nod to camaraderie, the short film follows Cooper’s character on a contemplative camping trip, subtly unraveling the emotional tension mirrored in Fender’s lyrics. "Little Bit Closer" is the latest in Fender's series of artistically daring projects that blend raw vulnerability with cinematic ambition, From his acclaimed third album People Watching. Fender reflects on the collaboration:
It’s so great to be working with Phil again, I had no doubt he was the right director for this piece. His video for 'Spit Of You' was my favourite. When Phil said he’d asked Owen to be in the video and that he was keen, I was elated. After seeing his incredible performance in Adolescence, I knew he’d bring something special.
Director Barantini shared the sentiment:
To have the opportunity to direct another video for Sam was an immediate yes—an absolute no-brainer. Sam is not only an incredible artist but a beautiful human and a great friend. And directing Owen again so soon after Adolescence was an absolute joy.

This marks his second collaboration with Barantini, the first being the poignant 2021 visual for Spit Of You featuring Stephen Graham. Known for his heart-on-sleeve storytelling and cinematic soundscapes, Fender continues to expand his creative universe by pairing music with emotionally rich visual narratives.
