Confined in comfort, wrapped in rhythm, love never sounded so complicated. Los Angeles-based alt-rock band Starling unveil a new sonic chapter. I Can Be Convinced is a fiery, fast-paced single that channels emotional surrender into something strangely sweet. With blistering percussion, soaring guitar lines, and Kasha Souter Willett’s haunting vocal delivery, “I Can Be Convinced” begins as a ballad of longing and unravels into controlled chaos. The song captures the complicated comfort of confinement in a relationship — the strange solace found in stillness, even when it hurts. The band shared:
In its raw form, this was a much sadder song. But once we started building it out, it demanded a different kind of energy. The lyrics are about needing stillness, being told ‘no,’ being wrapped in something that feels like love but presses in on you.

Premiered via Flood Magazine, the official video was shot in Los Angeles and directed by David Milan Kelly filled with swirling ballerinas and dreamlike visuals. The track leads into the band’s newly announced EP Forgive Me, set to arrive June 27 via Sunday Drive Records. Following a recent tour with Cryogeyser, Starling will perform next at El Cid on May 6, opening for Flooding. Stream “I Can Be Convinced” now and pre-order "Forgive Me."
