A deluxe edition should open another room inside the record. With Scarecrow Dreams. Stardust In Disguise Deluxe Edition out now with all eleven original tracks, Steve Bardwil Band delivers an extended version. Guitar, keys, horn and violin answer from different corners of the production while the bass and drums keep the form readable underneath them. Johnny Stachela leads the guitar work while Max Butler, Vince Fossett, Aaron Leibowitz, Catherine Jayne and Frank Coglitore fill the arrangement with keys, drums, horns, vocals and bass. Scarlet Rivera adds violin while Liz Brasher brings background vocals. Overall the rhythm section keeps the original steady, meanwhile giving Steve Bardwil’s voice to expand.
The extended Scarecrow Dreams gives the deluxe edition its purpose because the band lets the existing idea develop. The album is produced and mixed by Joe Chiccarelli, recorded by Bill Mims at EastWest Studios, and mastered by Emily Lazar at The Lodge. The original album remains available on CD and twelve-inch vinyl with gatefold packaging designed by John Coulter.
