A new foundation starts with a catching sunlight. Sylvie, the project led by Los Angeles artist Ben Schwab, opens its Ghostly International chapter with Rina featuring Alex Amen. Its two sides move like a full day: morning searches for discovery, while night turns inward toward grief, resilience, and the hope of beginning again. Originally written by Schwab’s father, John Schwab of Mad Anthony, the song returns as a family inheritance reshaped for new ears, as Alex carries the vocal across soft guitars, brass, and a pedal steel. Its passing friendship and overlooked beauty give Sylvie a gentle but meaningful entrance. Explaining the balance between preservation and renewal, Schwab says:

Rina is an all-time favorite. It was tough to record because I wanted to honor the original my dad wrote while bringing something new to it. Rina reminds me of the beauty and strength found in people the world overlooks. Alex understood that and gave the song exactly the touch it needed.

The single also introduces New Season, arriving November 6 as Schwab’s full-length debut for the label. "New Season" was largely built inside Schwab’s home studio before traveling to Abbey Road Studios for its finishing touches, expanding an intimate process without losing its warmth. The ten-song album gathers Sierra Ferrell, Courtney Marie Andrews, Kacy Lee Anderson, and Amen around Schwab’s self-produced vision. Its two sides move like a full day: morning searches for discovery, while night turns inward toward grief, resilience, and the hope of beginning again. Sylvie’s first CEL feature establishes a foundation built from lineage, collaboration, and renewal. Listen to "Rina," then follow Sylvie on INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, and BANDCAMP.
