If punk is supposed to make people uncomfortable, Tear Dungeon are doing exactly what the genre was built to do. The Austin outfit returns with I'm Not Dead Yet, a ferocious blast of distortion that strips songwriting down to its bare essentials before detonating into controlled mayhem. Fueled by grinding riffs and an unapologetic attitude, the band delivers a track that feels like a pressure valve finally giving way. The official music video raises the stakes even further, capturing the band's now-infamous performance at Ghost Cat Lounge as the crowd tears the DIY venue apart piece by piece. Beneath the destruction is a band embracing instinct as Frontman Andrew Cashen explains best:

I thought that we should write a one-chord song. 'What is the simplest shit we can possibly write?' was the assignment. It ended up being a two-chord song... I am honestly surprised that I am still alive, fucking crazy."

Arriving October 2 via TODO Records, Squirm pushes Tear Dungeon's confrontational sound into even darker territory, tackling subjects including police brutality, hypocrisy, and the fractures running beneath everyday American life. Recorded by Stuart Sikes, mixed by John Michael Landon at Estuary Recording, and mastered by Greg Obis, the album preserves the same volatile chemistry that has made the quartet one of Austin's most unforgettable live acts. Sharing stages with Amyl & The Sniffers, High On Fire, Osees, Negative Approach, and Snooper has only sharpened their reputation for performances that leave audiences stunned. Their appearance at Sled Island earlier this summer reinforced that momentum, while more live dates remain on the horizon.
