Vulnerability isn’t weakness... it’s the blueprint to every great heist of the heart. With their four-track debut EP This is my first heist, Denton-based emo outfit my point of you charge into the spotlight with screamo screams, mathy breakdowns, and lyrical tenderness that cuts deeper with each listen. The EP is a tight, emotionally raw set of songs that channel twee sensitivity through discordant bursts of energy. From the urgency of post-breakup reflection to the soft confusion of change, the Texas five-piece explores every corner of emo’s evolving emotional palette. The band notes:

We didn’t expect it to turn out this way, but we’re really proud of it.

Their writing style prioritizes honesty over polish, notes. Each song pulls from lived experience, making this album personal and painfully relatable. Having already drawn praise from The Alternative and underground music communities, the band now solidifies their position in a new emo wave. This summer, my point of you hits the road for their first East Coast tour alongside Fake Pollocks. for tour updates, merch drops, and more from the rising Texas crew on SPOTIFY and INSTAGRAM. Let us know your thoughts on the EP below.
