The Aces are turning heartbreak into heat with the announcement of their upcoming album Gold Star Baby, landing August 15. A shimmering, sapphic pop escape that feels like a perfect night out you never want to end. The new single You Got Me is the latest neon-lit confession from the band’s evolving soundscape, part fever dream, part emotional liberation. The Aces, Cristal and Alisa Ramirez, Katie Henderson, and McKenna Petty, are bringing that confidence to the stage this summer with performances at Summerfest, All Things Go DC and NY, and more. With warm, nervy, and irresistibly in love, the band shared:

This song is about that short and sweet period of time when you realize you’re in love but you’re not sure how to tell them. We wanted it to sound like the feeling of falling in love—warm, shimmery, bouncy, and a little bit of nerves.

Backed by a glowing synth pulse and vulnerable lyrics, “You Got Me” completes the trio of early singles alongside Jealous and The Magic, with the latter praised by Dork as their “most confident single yet.” If their last album I’ve Loved You For So Long was about self-discovery, "Gold Star Baby" is about strutting fully into your power of sequins, sweat, and all.

Stream “You Got Me” and get ready to dance through your feelings this August. Follow The Aces on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and Twitter.
