Welcome to the hottest club in town. With the release of Gold Star Baby, The Aces invite fans into a world of shimmering disco-pop, unapologetic confidence, and liberated fun. The new album embraces queerness, escapism, and a velvet-roped mythology where the dance floor is a sanctuary. Self-produced and dazzling with pulsing rhythms, funky bass, and pop melodies, "Gold Star Baby" shows the four-piece stepping into their boldest, most carefree era yet. Across its narrative, the album mirrors a night out—early arrivals, late confessions, and dawn’s bittersweet glow—crafted with the band’s signature flair. The band shared:
When we started making ‘Gold Star Baby,’ there was one goal in mind: we just wanted to have fun. Pop melodies, pulsing four to the floor rhythm, shimmering guitars, and the funkiest bass lines we’ve written yet. It was simple. If it didn’t make us move, we wrote another song. All we wanted to do was dance.

That playful energy bursts through songs like Jealous, The Magic, and the flirty She Likes Me, before closing with the confrontational swagger of I’m Sweet (I’m Mean). Alongside the album, the official video for the title track, directed by Alisa Ramirez, brings the fantasy to life. Inspired by disco films and the lore of Studio 54, the clip transforms Saturday night into a psychedelic queer disco dream. The Aces are also set to hit the stage with their Gold Star Baby World Tour, kicking off this fall across North America with support from Lydia Night of The Regrettes. Watch the official video to "Gold Star Baby" and be sure to connect with The Aces on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, and Twitter.
