In a world of illusions, the rawest noise might just be the truth. Gascon rock-farming duo The Inspector Cluzo return with a punchy and provocative single As Stupid As You Can. Filmed on their Lou Casse farm in Gascony, France, the accompanying video is a striking visual manifesto of resistance, shot and edited by director Lorenzo De La Maza. The song’s title might sound cheeky, but its message is anything but. Drawing from Guy Debord’s The Society Of The Spectacle, it tears into hyper-consumerism with their signature blues-drenched riffs and unflinching honesty. This isn’t just music; it’s rebellion wrapped in distortion. The band explains:

We’ve all been raised with a team mentality. But that unity is crumbling, replaced by isolation and self-importance—especially post-COVID.

On “As Stupid As You Can,” the message sharpens, echoing Debord’s warning that “truth would be just a moment of the false.” Ahead of their 10th studio album "Less Is More" out June 6, this song is a rallying cry for collective spirit in an age of performative individuality. Produced by Grammy-winner Vance Powell, the album was tracked live over four days in Nashville, mixed in just three, and bears all the raw electricity of the duo’s globally renowned live shows. Philosophically rooted in the teachings of Henry David Thoreau and Guy Debord, it champions simplicity, sustainability, and shared responsibility. Let us know your thoughts on the official video below and stay tuned for more from The Inspector Cluzo.
