Get It Honest emerges from a late-night moment and pushed David Shaw out of bed and onto a path toward one of The Revivalists’ most revealing songs to date. Built around soulful instrumentation, steady conviction, and the unmistakable chemistry that has carried the band for nearly two decades, the title track sets the tone for an album rooted in accountability and perspective. Rather than chasing youthful urgency, The Revivalists embrace maturity with confidence, creating music that feels earned rather than manufactured. There is admiration in how the track confronts personal history without becoming trapped inside it. Reflecting on its unexpected arrival, Shaw offered insight saying:

'Get It Honest' came to me in a dream. It woke me up and pretty much demanded my attention right then and there. So there I was at 3 AM, lying in bed next to my wife, typing out the lyrics to what would become the song. Songs can come in all sorts of ways and carry various messages, too, but the most important takeaway from this for me is that they always find a way to hit you right when you need them the most or maybe when you can actually ‘hear’ them.

The title track adds another layer to an album already generating momentum through songs like Heart Stop and Razorblades & Runways. Produced by Rich Costey, the collection reflects a band operating with remarkable clarity. Contributions from Andriu "Yàno" Yanovski and drummer PJ Howard helped shape the rollout, while filmmaker Caroline Iaffaldano delivered a striking visuals through an immersive first-person concept. Beyond the studio, The Revivalists continue expanding their reach through major festival appearances, headline dates, a run alongside The Red Clay Strays. Be on the lookout for July 24 when the complete picture finally comes into focus and stream "Get It Honest."
