Theo Bleak opens the door to a year she’s still trying to understand, unveiling Bargaining, a fourteen-song mixtape arriving December 18, 2025. The first glimpse, Megan In New York, unravels like a quiet confession written between city lights and private collapse. Co-written with longtime collaborator Mark Johnston, the track captures the emotional fracture points of a trip when passion clouded judgment, and intuition lost the battle to longing. that signaled the beginning of unraveling. Through Megan’s presence, Bargaining becomes a time capsule with each track a negotiation with heartbreak, clarity, and the lure of what-ifs that refuse to loosen their grip. Bleak shares:
A song about the most damaging dynamics we can enter into driven by passion, emotion and connections void of any reasonable intellect. Inspired by the self-implosion of my life beginning in New York City, conversations with Megan, who accompanied me on that trip, and the reflections of a man who kept her frozen in time. It is the first single from my fourteen-song mixtape 'Bargaining' - each a song a painful step forward as I was stuck longest in the bargaining stage of grief.

Built across the most unguarded moments of her year, "Bargaining" feels like a notebook left open on the floor, full of raw edges, honest self-reckoning, and quiet discoveries. Her late Great Uncle’s cycling journals, annotated with reflections spanning decades, became guiding lights. In this project Theo Bleak leans into haunting melodies, dream-state guitar work, and poetic storytelling. Tracks like Said Like A Poet and Peach Sky expanded her emotional palette, blending fragile longing with rich atmospheres. After her North American debut at New York’s New Colossus Festival and standout sets at The Great Escape, she continues building momentum.
