Toronto punk disruptor ThxSoMch drops Keep It To Yourself, unfolding into an anthem about carrying, and releasing. the weight of expectation. Anchored by hypnotic guitars and a freestyle-turned-mantra, the track grew from an inside joke with longtime collaborator and producer grayskies. This is the final single before the release of his highly anticipated debut album The Sound Of You Laughing, arriving August 29. Vulnerable yet unrestrained, this track is another glimpse into the artist’s ability to blur rock, rap, and raw confession into one restless sound. ThxSoMch explains:
Sometimes, we’d come up with an idea and the other person would say, ‘you can keep that…to yourself. One day, grayskies wrote a crazy syncopated guitar riff, I freestyled over it, and the joke became a song... No phone, no English, no sense of time—just a flow state that let me escape everything else. It’s the sound of acceptance and the sound of burying what’s really going on. It’s mockery and coping, choking and surviving.

Recorded over seven months in isolation in Brazil, the album reflects the headspace of its creation. Produced by grayskies and mixed by Mike Crossey, the upcoming album finds ThxSoMch stepping fully into his own lane. His catalog has already shifted post-punk into new territory, with more than 1B career streams and a fervent global fanbase. catch ThxSoMch live this fall by following on INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE, TIKTOK, TWITTER/X, and SOUNDCLOUD.
