Trousdale Stretch Their Wings With "Growing Pains Deluxe"

Trousdale aren’t interested in shrinking their sound. The Los Angeles trio announce on May 15, Growing Pains Deluxe will arrive. The deluxe edition layers in new material and reimagined favorites, joined by collaborators including Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive, Tors, Ken Yates, and HAFFWAY. Alongside the announcement, Trousdale unveil a towering rendition of Neil Young’s Old Man. A song about aging, perspective, and shared human longing now passes through Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones’ interwoven harmonies. Their arrangement transforming a familiar melody into a soaring vocal. The trio described:
We’ve always been huge fans of Neil Young. His music and activism have both served as massive inspirations for us as a band. We covered ‘Old Man’ years ago for fun, and filmed a live version as just a trio. But as we began touring with a full band, it became a constant cover in our live set. It’s by far the hardest vocal arrangement we’ve ever performed. Although this song has been in our live repertoire for years, we felt like ‘Old Man’ was the perfect cover for us to begin with after releasing ‘Growing Pains.’ For the song itself and our own journey with it, we loved the idea of following our album up with a song about growing up — and how we all want and need so many of the same things in life no matter our age.
Following "Growing Pains," the cover reads as thematic continuation an expanded chapter of their sophomore album which sharpened their identity at the intersection of indie-pop brightness and country-rock backbone. The deluxe release follows a breakout year that included a Today Show appearance, a Grand Ole Opry debut, a performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, and touring alongside Maren Morris. With new headline dates ahead and festival appearances at Okeechobee and High Water on deck, Trousdale are stepping into a broader spotlight with a reminder that harmony, when done right, never ages.
