Troye Sivan has spent years bending pop toward his own ideas of beauty. With She's The Best, spoken passages gradually surrender to guitars, strings, and synths before the record blooms into a euphoric salute to the feminine forces that have shaped his life. Women, trans women, drag queens, feminine-presenting people, and femininity itself become part of a love letter. Gordon Von Steiner extends that sentiment into a visual inspired by 1980s queer New York, pairing high-fashion composition with sensuality and fluid expressions of gender. That realization becomes the foundation for Sivan’s fourth studio album, "She’s The Best," arriving October 9 through Interscope Records. The project moves through desire, identity, queer belonging, joy, loneliness, and the contradictions that can exist between them. It follows the massive Something To Give Each Other chapter, and eventually the SWEAT Tour with Charli XCX. With George Daniel, Jack Antonoff, Styalz Fuego, and Leland among the creatives behind the title track, this next phase already carries an intriguing mixture of pop scale and personal specificity.
