Troye Sivan Sends "She’s The Best" Toward The Dance Floor

Written By: Big C

Troye Sivan opens his fourth album She’s the Best with the confidence of someone who knows longing can still move at full speed. The new single FF is a love song aimed at a person who may not have arrived yet. Its pulse keeps the loneliness from settling into stillness, and the vocal stays intimate even as the production widens around it. Musically, the record understands that dance-pop needs clear layers. Percussion establishes the stride, synths color the route, and Sivan’s vocal keeps the human question in front. Sivan describes:
'FF' is an undying love song to a man I don't know yet. Or at least I don't think I do. It's me at my most longing, and about how lonely it is to love someone who isn't here yet. It might sound like a vow, but it's really a wish.

Director Gordon von Steiner places the FF video on Fire Island, giving the song a setting where freedom, community and desire can share the same frame. The high-octane side of the record never erases its vulnerability. It gives that vulnerability somewhere to move. The album brings together writers and producers including Jack Antonoff, George Daniel, Cirkut, Madison Love, Leland and Jasper Harris under Interscope Records. Lily-Rose Depp also appears on the record. Stream "She’s the Best" and watch FF as the album’s longing turns physical. Connect with Troye Sivan on TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
