Radkey is growing by embracing every scratch, crack, and unpredictable turn along the way. Their independently released album Bedroom Sand thrives on punk's fearless spirit while giving the Kansas City trio more room to reveal their personality than ever before. Across eight tracks, brothers Dee, Isaiah, and Solomon trade polished perfection for urgency, humor, and relentless momentum. The records jump between self-doubt, confidence, inside jokes, and explosive riffs, making the listening experience feel refreshingly human. There's quality within the band's willingness to laugh at themselves while charging forward anyway. Opening with Victory, playful confidence is exactly what makes "Bedroom Sand" feel like another meaningful step in the band's evolution. They shared:

When we were recording or going on tour, we'd always watch the Foo Fighters 'Back and Forth' documentary to get us pumped up... We've always wanted to write that ultimate opening song for our sets. We came up with the idea to do a song about the Kansas City Chiefs that's just about kicking ass and winning. It gets you in the perfect headspace for a show.

That same creative freedom carries throughout the project. "Victory" arrives alongside an animated video that playfully reimagines the now-public-domain Steamboat Willie cartoon through Radkey's own mischievous lens. Meanwhile songs like Falling Out Of Grace, Welcome To The Backyard, Strays, and the title track expand the band's songwriting beyond straightforward punk anthems. Recorded inside Syracuse University's School of Music through an unlikely collaboration during summer break, the album proves that DIY ambition often finds creative solutions where budgets cannot. With a live reputation already praised by Foo Fighters, Jack White, and Rise Against, Radkey continue to sharpen both their sound and their identity.
