A crush can turn the night sky into a corkboard, and Whisper Doll pin every possibility to the stars on Sunsigns. The Brooklyn dream-pop band’s newest single arrives ahead of Lucky Clover, due October 2 through Take Care Records. Glistening guitars and cascading synths circle Fiona Tagami’s propulsive vocal as the song searches astrology for an answer that ordinary conversation cannot provide. Its romantic uncertainty stays buoyant, allowing infatuation to feel less like a trap than a private constellation still being drawn. The official video, co-directed by Tagami and Sage Leopold, places the band inside a tarot-card table inspired by the 2016 film The Love Witch. The visual language gives the track’s cosmic wondering a playful ritual of its own. Tagami explains:

This song is about the stage of being super enamored with someone to the point that you're looking up their star signs and trying to gauge your compatibility with them from afar. I wanna know what the universe has to say!

The single extends a season of releases that has kept Lucky Clover moving between homecoming, hope, and feminine desire. Previously, the band made homecoming feel So Sweet, while Am I A Knife let beauty cut in both directions. Here, the question turns outward toward sun signs, compatibility charts, and whatever the universe might whisper back. The wider album will be Whisper Doll’s first full-band record and their first made entirely in New York City. An October 9 release show at Baby’s All Right brings the record home with Buff Ginger and Cyanotype, followed by dates in Philadelphia, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Newark, and Storrs. Pre-order "Lucky Clover," then let Whisper Doll read the next omen aloud. Connect on INSTAGRAM, BANDCAMP, TUMBLR, and YOUTUBE.
