Against The Current Make "White Noise" Impossible To Ignore

Against The Current have built White Noise like a thought that refuses to leave the back row of your mind. The trio of Chrissy Costanza, Dan Gow and Will Ferri drive the new single with guitars which keep pressing forward while the vocal climbs above the noise. The guitars establish the lane, the drums keep the floor firm and Costanza’s phrasing supplies the lift. It is bright enough for a festival crowd, but the lyric keeps circling obsession instead of easy release. Costanza traced that rush back to sessions with Cass and Max, stating:
White Noise is one of those tracks that you instantly know is going to be insanely fun to play live. It’s about that feeling of someone that you just can’t seem to get out of your head, like ‘white noise’ in the background they’re always there. I loved getting to write with Cass and Max, the sessions are always a blast and that energy comes out in the song.
The hook feels designed for people to throw back at the stage, and the band leaves enough open space around it for that response to matter. "White Noise" arrives ahead of the October 30 album Till Death & Back through Independent (STEM). The album follows the band’s recent run of forward motion while keeping the chemistry of the three-piece at the front.
