Behind The Lens: 6LACK Takes "Love Is The New Gangsta" Beyond Music With '6 For 6'

Some stories need more than a verse to be fully understood. 6LACK is making room for the conversations behind them. The five-time GRAMMY-nominated R&B artist has partnered with REVOLT to launch 6LACK Presents: 6 For 6, a six-episode weekly podcast inspired by his latest album, Love Is The New Gangsta. With the first two episodes now streaming, the series brings together musicians, actors, and creatives for candid discussions about their careers, personal experiences, and lives beyond the spotlight.
Six Conversations, Different Perspectives
The series opened October 13 with Gail Bean and Isaiah John, who joined 6LACK to discuss FX's The Drop: A Snowfall Saga and their experiences navigating the entertainment industry. The second episode features GRAMMY-winning artist and longtime friend Ambré, exploring the personal moments and creative decisions that have shaped their respective careers.
Upcoming conversations with Blxst, Jordan Ward, Mereba, and DDG will complete the first season. Each guest brings a different perspective, giving 6LACK an opportunity to connect the album's themes with experiences that extend beyond his own songwriting. For Deon Graham, Chief Content Officer of REVOLT and Offscript Worldwide, the partnership represents an opportunity to broaden what audiences can experience through an album. Explaining the creative direction behind the series, Graham shared:
6LACK is giving fans more than an album. Through these six intimate conversations, he’s inviting people deeper into the world of Love is the New Gangsta. At REVOLT, we want to give artists room to take creative risks and connect with audiences in unexpected ways. 6LACK is thinking differently about what an album experience can be. Our job is to back that vision and give it a bigger stage.

Giving The Album Another Voice
Released in May, "Love Is The New Gangsta" has continued developing through visuals for I Guess, On Me featuring Odeal, and All That Matters with AZ Chike and Leon Thomas. The podcast adds another layer to that rollout, replacing traditional promotion with conversations that invite listeners to understand the people and experiences surrounding the music.
Following his reflective freestyle Everywhere At Once (Tour Talk), 6LACK is also keeping audiences connected while preparing for his eventual return to touring. Rather than letting the album's story end with its final track, he's creating space for other voices to contribute to its larger message.
With '6 For 6,' 6LACK is proving that sometimes the most meaningful part of the music is the conversation it starts.
The first two episodes of '6LACK Presents: 6 For 6' are available now through REVOLT, with new episodes arriving weekly.
