Do you have a new year’s resolution? If so, what is it?
I have a bunch of new year’s resolutions and I put them all into my new single This Year that I dropped on January 1st 2024. If you hear the song you’’ll hear 21 new years resolutions but the one that stands out to me today is, “This year I’m taking flights and I’m taking rest”. Last year I overworked myself and neglected my personal time and that made me burn out. Grinding it great, but you can’t pour from an empty cup, you have to refill and that’s important to me this year.
What is your greatest accomplishment thus far?
I have many accomplishments that are huge to me but I think one of the biggest is hitting 1 million streams on my song We Got Us. That was a big milestone for me and it let me see that my art matters and that people rock with it. It put a battery in my pack to keep going when I wanted to quit.
What’s the first song you play which reminds you of heartbreak?
My Mind by Yebba, I LOVE that song and sing it a lot. If it’s one of my songs it’s a song called Pages that I released a few years ago. That record is really personal for me and came out of a heartbreak.
What’s the first song you play which reminds you of love?
Collide by Tianna Major9 and EARTHGANG, that song is on repeat and makes me get all in my feels. If it’s one of my records I’d say After from my EP Chapter 1 9:18 that I put out a year and a half ago. It’s a classic!
Describe the perfect first date?
Something that’s creative or active. Like a sip and paint, or an escape room. You can learn about someone when you’re doing an activity together. Then a nice dinner after or a walk in a beautiful park.
Are you going to vote this presidential election year?
Absolutely, voting is extremely important and I wanna make sure my voice counts. I can't be mad if I don’t vote and the person I don’t want to win wins. Then I didn’t do my part.
Have you ever been hacked by a phishing email, had your identity stolen, or been a victim of digital fraud?
I haven’t had my identity stolen, thank the LORD and I’m pretty good with recognizing a phishing email and pray that I never experience that.
Are you the type to get to work early or stay late?
I’m the type to stay late. I like to be on time, but I’m usually cutting it close right to the time I have to be there, but I’d stay late for sure.
What does success mean to you?
Success to me is being able to do what I love and it being able to take care of me. Your gift should make room for you. It is what I’m supposed to do on this planet, so if it can also pay my bills and have me live a comfortable life, i call that success.
